Shop Stewards are the representatives of the Union in the workplace. They voluntarily serve their co-workers by informing them of their rights and responsibilities under the Collective Agreement, answering questions, helping resolve problems, handling grievances, and educating fellow workers about union policies! 

Join us for this two-day course to further develop your communication and problem-solving skills. All YEU education is free, and if you are scheduled to work during a course, you can apply for Union Leave as a Shop Steward. Please use  this form to send us the approved leave from your employer.

The Orientation is a two-day course (9:00 am - 5:00 pm both days) that provides you with all the basics to get started as a Shop Steward for your Local with the Yukon Employees Union
