Shop Steward Orientation 2025
Shop Stewards are the representatives of the Union in the workplace. They voluntarily serve their co-workers by informing them of their rights and responsibilities under the Collective Agreement, answering questions, helping resolve problems, handling grievances, and educating fellow workers about union policies!
Join us for this two-day course, from 9 am to 5 pm, to further develop your communication and problem-solving skills. All YEU education is free, and if you are scheduled to work during a course, you can apply for Union Leave as a Shop Steward. Please use this form to send us the approved leave from your employer.
Orientations occur bi-monthly on the last Thursday and Friday of the month. Check out our Events and RSVP for Shop Steward Orientation on the next available dates!
