Topic: Orienting New Members to the Union

A new member’s first introduction to the union can shape how connected and supported they feel in their workplace. This Roundtable will focus on how Shop Stewards can welcome new members, explain the role of the union and collective agreement, introduce available supports and resources, and help members understand how they can get involved.

We’ll share practical tips for making union orientation approachable, informative, and engaging, while creating space for stewards to exchange ideas and experiences from their own workplaces.

This round table is open to Shop Stewards and all YEU members. Coffee/Tea and light snacks will be provided.
