YEU Covid-19 Response-Closure

The Yukon Employees' Union office will be closed for the time being, with our staff working remotely.

We've made this decision for the protection and safety of our members, our staff and the communities we live in.  We're doing everything we can to help slow the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

What does that mean for you if you need union support?

If you have questions or need help, you have a few options to get in touch.

1. Please visit our website! You can use our online contact form at yeu.ca/contact or our online Intake form at yeu.ca/intake and someone will get back to you.

2. Email us at [email protected]

3. Call our main line at 867-667-2331.

4. Outside of Whitehorse, our members can reach us through our toll-free line, 1-888-YEU-2331.

If you have an ongoing case, please continue communicating with your assigned Labour Relations Advisor by email. Responses may be somewhat delayed, but we are monitoring calls and emails.

We are working with our employers and will be requesting the cancellation of all non-essential fact-finding meetings etc. If you are called to a meeting or have any Occupational Health & Safety concerns, please contact us immediately.

If you are a worker in a non-essential position who is not being permitted to work from home, please reach out to us right away.

We will be posting updates as they are available.

These are challenging times. Let’s continue to take care of each other, and take care of ourselves. If you are able, please support local non-profit service agencies like the Whitehorse Food Bank.

In solidarity,

Steve Geick, President

Yukon Employees' Union
