On September 20th members of YEU/PSAC Local Y021 - Yukon Arts Centre, voted overwhelmingly to provide the bargaining team with a strike mandate.
This means we are in a position to serve 72 hour strike notice and withdraw our services between now and any time within two months (60 days) of September 20th.
We prefer to reach a settlement and are ready and willing to return to the bargaining table at any time. What’s still outstanding is fair wages for current Arts Centre staff.
We believe one of the best ways to support the Arts in the Yukon is support fair wages for the workers who deliver behind the scenes.
Let the Arts Centre know you support the Arts in the Yukon and that you support a fair living wage for Arts Centre Workers.
Email the Arts Centre's CEO Casey Prescott, and encourage him to treat workers fairly, and provide a living wage for all Arts Centre Workers.
