In response to concerted efforts by unions, anti-poverty groups and many voices of people who care, the federal government devised and deployed in record time a new benefit called the Canadian Emergency Response Benefit (CERB). Many YEU seasonal workers, members who work in the tourism industry and others are affected. In this session, we'll discuss any updates to the benefit, who can access it, and any related issues.
If you haven't already read this resource, it provides solid information about this new benefit.
Jim Crowell, who works at the YEU as a Labour Relations Advisor will answer questions and concerns that you may have.
