Many of you know the basic three rights with respect to health and safety: the right to know about the products, equipment and  work processes that we work with; the right to refuse unsafe work and the right to participate in workplace health and safety committees. Activists have now added a crucial fourth right: the right to no reprisal for reporting dangers and incidents. At this month's Shop Steward Round Table, we'll talk about the importance of enforcing these hard won rights. We'll also discuss the health and safety issues in your workplaces and strategies to deal with them. Members who may not be Shop Stewards but who are employee representatives on workplace Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committees are also encouraged to join us.
