How do people win victories in the face of big challenges? Jane McAlevey has been part of big wins in the health sector in the US and has many stories to share. She is a union and community organizer, educator, and author who challenges organizations to build real power by making high participation a priority.
We are excited to be part of a global online training program hosted by Jane McAlevey. Called Organizing for Power: How We Win, she is leading a 5 part webinar series for anyone who wants to learn effective ways of building power at work and in our communities.
Before the webinar series, we will read and discuss her book- No Short Cuts: Organizing for Power over two meet-ups. We will discuss how can we apply our learnings to the Yukon and to our workplaces. We will have some copies of the book to share on October 8th. Her book is available now at the Yukon Public Library. You can also purchase it through Well Read Books or order as an e-book.
This is open to anyone who wants to learn from the stories and the strategies behind the victories.
