Unionized members fight hard to obtain and protect strong workplace pensions. Pensions are deferred wages that allow workers to retire in dignity. There are different kinds of pensions. Defined benefit pension plans are the best and most efficient way to provide a secure and predictable income in retirement. In this 3-hour session you will learn how your YG pension is calculated, how unpaid leave periods affect your pension and many other aspects of your defined benefit pension plan. We'll also cover retiree benefits to which YG employees can opt in upon retirement.

James Infantino, PSAC's pension and benefits specialist will be on hand to answer all your pension-related questions. If you are not a YG employee but are interested in a similar session for your workplace, let us know and we'll plan a session for you and your co-workers.
