When we stand together, we can win better laws!

This fall our Union has the chance to strengthen Yukon's health and safety laws.

The Yukon Government is reviewing the two most important laws that affect the health and safety of our members: Workers Compensation Act and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

This is our chance to make our work and the work of all Yukoners safer. The YEU wants to make a submission to the YG with recommendations that are based on our members' experiences at work. To do this, we need your help.

Join us in this 2-part project. On November 14, we will learn how to gather information using directed conversations with members. We will then have conversations with the cross-section of our membership over the next 3 weeks. Then on December 10th, we come together to report back our findings. 

All Shop Stewards, members of Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committees and interested members are encouraged to participate. Members can take Union education leave in order to attend.
