We’re excited to share that Shawna & Jen, a PSAC Union Representative and a YEU Shop Steward Coordinator, will be visiting Dawson City on March 31 and April 1!

March 31 – Site Visits & Member Engagement

Throughout the day, they will conduct site visits, including updating union boards and delivering fruit baskets and Timbits—keep an eye out for them at your workplace!

April 1 - Shawna & Jen will also be at the Learning Hub, Yukon U, all day, hosting three Shop Steward Information Sessions and other ways to get involved in your union.

Attending one of these sessions includes 1.5 hours of paid UNION leave time if you are scheduled to work, so it’s a great opportunity to learn more about the role and get involved.

All Members are welcome to stop by the Learning Hub at Yukon U, grab a snack, and connect. Plus, we’ll be holding a gift card draw—all you have to do is drop in and say hello!

This is a great chance to meet your union representatives, ask questions, and learn about opportunities to become a Shop Steward and other ways to be involved in your union — a very rewarding experience where you can develop your skills, learn about Union processes, and help your coworkers.
