Filing a grievance is one way of dealing with workplace issues. For some members, the formal nature of the grievance process may be daunting. Shop Stewards help de-mystify the grievance process for members. They also handle the initial steps of investigating a complaint- writing a grievance and meeting with the employer to attempt to resolve the issue.
In this 1.5-hour Zoom session, we’ll cover how to respond to common workplace problems through the grievance process. We will practice drafting grievances and share tips on leading the grievance meetings. All stewards, brand new and experienced, are welcome to join and share their knowledge and questions.
