Is there a Shop Steward in your workplace?

There should be!

Every workplace needs at least one person who can represent the union. Often this is a natural leader who others turn to for advice.

But workplaces need other people too: someone to put up posters like this one on the union bulletin board, someone to welcome new employees to the union, an employee representative on your health and safety committee, an organizer who gets everyone connected when important meetings and union votes come up, and more. 

We are currently recruiting Shop Stewards in most areas and have courses in September and October to prepare new stewards for the job.
