Our thanks go out to YEU Local Y010 for a tremendous job on the annual Labour Day Feed the People BBQ in Shipyards Park. Labour Day 2013 saw approximately 2,000 people enjoy free burgers, hot dogs, games and family fun. Supported by PSAC North, the Yukon Federation of Labour, CUPW & IBEW, a huge crew of smiling volunteers flipped burgers, shucked corn, served up hot dogs and distributed ice cream. The YTA led old fashioned games like the ever popular egg toss, while hula hoops twirled and tiny faces were transformed. Prizes were donated by PSAC North, YEU and others; 2 iPads were given away, 2 iPod touches, a trip for 2 with Air North & grocery gift cards.
Thank you to everyone who came out and took part, and thank you again to YEU Local Y010; working to put the UNITY back in Community!

What a great day… we look forward to celebrating Labour Day with you next year!
