Unlike most collective agreements, the YG-PSAC/YEU contract places a pathway for harassment cases away from the grievance route. Instead, members are directed to the Respectful Workplace Office (RWO). What happens when the RWO is involved? How are conflicts managed? What is the role of the steward? In cases of conflict involving members, the Labour Relations Advisors at the YEU office handle the dealings with the members and the RWO. But stewards have the all-important role of conveying helpful information to their co-workers about processes like the RWO.
