PSAC signed an essential services agreement with the Yukon Government in 2021. This agreement outlines the services that will be necessary in the interest of the safety and security of the public and public buildings as per the Public Service Labour Relations Act (PSLRA).

If the membership votes to strike, employees designated as essential (‘designated employees’) will receive a notice outlining the duties to be performed and the hours of work necessary to complete those duties. Employees designated as essential continue to work under the terms and conditions of the collective agreement.
