Laurie Butterworth President e-mail

Laurie was first elected YEU President at the 2005 Triennial Convention. He had just completed terms as YEU 1st Vice-President and Communications Committee Chair, and as Local Y010 1st Vice-President. Previously, he served as president of Local Y010 and secretary of the Yukon Area Council. At the 2008 Convention, he was re-elected to a second term as component President.

Laurie has been a member of several bargaining committees, the PSAC Bylaws & Constitution Committee, and was an alternate representative for the BC and Yukon National Component from 1988 to 1991. He supported the Yukon workers as a member of the Workers Advisory Committee to the Workers Compensation Health & Safety Board, is the Health and Safety Representative on the Yukon Area Council, and an advisor to Skills Canada.
